They are electronic communication devices with one purpose: to alert homeowners to a specific danger—in this case a burglary. Sensors may be placed on windows, doors, and other entry points. The sensors are connected by wires or wirelessly—to a control panel. In case of a possible break-in sensors trigger an alarm, your high decibel siren and a call to ADT’s monitoring centers.
